New VMA Pro 5 version

Dear colleagues,

We are happy to announce you the release of the new version "Pro" 5.0, another important evolution  of the Virtual Moon Atlas with many new features. It presents :

THE NEW « MAC/OS » AND « LINUX » VERSIONS Awaited since a long time, the revision of the software permits now to propose new « Mac/Os » and « Linux » version of VMA Pro 5.

THE NEW MODULE "ATLUN" ©:

It’s a complete revision of the software with a new graphic engine and a new textures management. It permits now :

- to use digital elevation models (DEM) permitting dynamic shadows on the terminator according to the lunar phases and giving a display very near to the view in the eyepiece

- to use very high resolution textures.

- to view the lunar poles

- to have a really double map window,

- to apply a coordinates grid.

THE NEW « AEROGRAPH WITHOUT ALBEDO » HIGH RESOLUTION TEXTURE : (Resolution about 1500 m/pixel).

THE NEW « LUNAR ORBITER » VERY HIGH RESOLUTION TEXTURE : ( Resolution of about 200 m/pixel ).

FOURTEEN NEW COLORED SCIENTIFIC OVERLAYS :
