A free Integrated Observational Environment for amateur astronomers. Still on an early stage and under development. It will combine Ephemeris, Sky view, Observatory control and basic Image manipulation functionality into a single application.
Planned features:
- Virtual view of night sky
- Ephemeris calculation and plotting.
- Telescope control
- CCD control
- Image manipulation
- Supports most ASCII astronomical object catalogs
- Automatic scheduling of observational activity.
The roadmap for release 0.5 (May 2004) includes adding:
- Sky view settings dialog
- Constellation boundaries
- Object labelling
- Grid labelling
- Fix broken spherical sky view
- Spiderd interface started
- Galaxies
