In a gesture of great generosity, François Nguyen has decided to make publicly available the full source code of AlphaCentaure (a 16.7 MB download); a great planetarium and ephemeris calculation program whose development has been on a stand still for the last couple of years...
According to François «the sources are compilable with Visual C++ 6.0 Service pack 6 (the part concerning the calculation of the positions of planets and stars can be compiled under Linux with some modifications).
The sources can be modified freely, compiled into binary, etc... on the other hand it is forbidden to use them for commercial purposes/making profit....»
