Stellaris 1.30 has been released. It is available at www.stellaris-software.com. New features include a Jupiter explorer, a Saturn explorer, and the possibility to examine the details of a solar eclipse.
Stellaris is a comprehensive astronomy suite that runs on Microsoft Windows. View a simulation of the night sky and the solar system - including NGC objects. Browse collections of impressive astronomical images. Observe Jupiter's and Saturn's moons revolving around their planets. Have Stellaris calculate astronomical data over an arbitrary time span and display the result as a graph - or store it as an XML file. Use Stellaris to generates many types of reports, such as a month report containing the planets' ephemerides. Examine the details of a solar eclipse. And more.
Stellaris also offers many additional utilities. The Event Finder helps you determine the dates of astronomical phenomena such as conjunctions and eclipses. You can even define your own types of events and have Stellaris search for the dates they occur on. The Event Forecast lists all interesting astronomical events that occur in the near future. Other utilities include a celestial object browser and an astronomical calculator.
Stellaris also supports StellarScript, a programming language specially designed for astronomical purposes. All features are explained in detail in the extensive help system.
